How much do I have to workout to really lose weight?
Aerobic exercise is believed by to be the single best thing for weight maintenance and management. You can lose weight without exercise by reducing your calorie intake. How much is not clear, but somewhere between 30 minutes of vigorous exercise several times per week to 75 minutes of moderate intensity exercise five or more days per week is probably about right. Each individual will vary, and so once you get to the weight that you want to be at you'll need to experiment with different amounts of exercise, everybody's maintenance level of aerobics is different. recommends that overweight and obese individuals progressively increase to a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week, but for long-term weight loss, overweight adults should eventually progress to 200 to 300 minutes per week of moderate-intensity physical activity.* That's starting at 5 thrity minute workouts per week and eventually moving up to 5 one hour workouts per week.
*The American College of Sports Medicine Recommendations

Can I Really Lose Weight?
As much as weight loss might seem impossible, it's not. Fitness is a lifestyle; not a fad diet, or 100 calorie pack, it is a choice. To be fit in life is a choice and commitment that you have to be prepared to tackle head on. Anything is possible, all you need is a little motivation to want to do it and support to help you get there. Consistancy is key. It's not about feeling gulity about the one cookie you just ate, it's the soda you have everyday that can add 15lbs on in one year. Fitness is about getting up everyday and love being in your own skin. We're here to get you there.
